I ran into a issue with iTunes last night, so here’s an Applescript, that I want to pass along.  It’ll search for any dead tracks that you may have…..

List MIAs v1.2

This script checks your iTunes Library for missing (and presumed “dead”) tracks–those that iTunes is unable to associate with a local file and which are listed in iTunes with a “!”. The script then creates a text file listing each missing track followed by a list of playlists it’s supposed to be in, which you can view using TextEdit. To clear these tracks from iTunes, try using Super Remove Dead Tracks.
