{"id":1555,"date":"2009-09-21T06:04:45","date_gmt":"2009-09-21T10:04:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.schollnick.net\/wordpress\/?p=1555"},"modified":"2009-10-11T10:03:13","modified_gmt":"2009-10-11T14:03:13","slug":"screen-sharing-gives-a-black-screen","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.schollnick.net\/wordpress\/2009\/09\/screen-sharing-gives-a-black-screen\/","title":{"rendered":"Screen Sharing gives a Black Screen?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ever since I upgraded to Snow Leopard, one small issue has been bothering me. \u00c2\u00a0Screen Sharing to our Video system would give me a black screen, but only from Nerv. \u00c2\u00a0The other computers could screen share to it fine, only Nerv has had this issue.<\/p>\n<p>I have found some references to this in 10.5.5, and a few references with Snow Leopard, but they didn&#8217;t seem to solve the issue.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s the work around. \u00c2\u00a0From the Screen Sharing application, choose View &#8211;&gt; And toggle the other setting (Adaptive or Full Quality). \u00c2\u00a0For example, in my case it was set to Adaptive, changing it to Full Quality solved my issue. \u00c2\u00a0Of course, this takes a bit more bandwidth, but on the local LAN, it doesn&#8217;t matter.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ll be reporting this to Apple.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ever since I upgraded to Snow Leopard, one small issue has been bothering me. \u00c2\u00a0Screen Sharing to our Video system would give me a black screen, but only from Nerv. \u00c2\u00a0The other computers could screen share to it fine, only Nerv has had this issue.
