Leave everything the way it is right now. Make sure your client computer is set to use DHCP. Click on Advanced –> Ethernet and write down the Mac Address for the client\/server computer…<\/p>\n

  1. Open Airport Utility…..<\/li>\n
  2. Open your Airport Extreme<\/li>\n
  3. Click on Internet<\/li>\n
  4. Click on DHCP<\/li>\n
  5. Click on + under DHCP Reservations<\/li>\n
  6. Add a description (eg Server), and click on Reserve Address By Mac Address<\/li>\n
  7. Click on Continue<\/li>\n
  8. Add the Mac Address, and type in the IP Address you want to assign it.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    This will cause the computer to always get the same IP Address through DHCP. You are literally reserving the IP for that computers use.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
