Hot on the heels of the Doctor Who: Adventures in Time and Space Roleplaying Game<\/span> character sheet<\/a>, publishers Cubicle 7 has released a seven-page preview of game’s introduction<\/a>, ahead of the RPG’s publication at the end of November.<\/p>\n

This small segment of the game clearly sets out in its tone, and whole ‘what is role-playing’ approach, that the game is geared towards attracting new players into our hobby (which is no bad thing, and also, doesn’t automatically imply that the system will be too simple for old grognards like myself to have any interest in. Far from it. The simpler the better, I say – within reason<\/span>.)<\/p>\n

Most of the material is a very basic overview of the Universe the players will be operating in, the core concepts of roleplaying and the nature of the characters available to them (pregens of The Doctor and his companions are, apparently, provided – although not here! – but it also makes it clear that you can create your own characters and setting away from the TV show’s established format).<\/p>\n
