An approval process that may reject the application, but you can then resubmit, etc&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>But the iPhone is a relatively open system, one where web applications require no approval, and you can literally use any web site, or web page you want&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>But it&#8217;s a platform that Apple has not shown the inclination to just randomly force you to use THEIR MANDATED web search engine.  Correct?<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Verizon has unilaterally updated user Storm 2 BlackBerries and other smartphones so that their browser search boxes can only be used with Microsoft Bing.<\/p>\n<p>The move is part of the five-year search and advertising deal Verizon signed with Microsoft in January for a rumored $500m.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>So Verizon, has decided that BING must be used as their search engine, period.  No choice, just install this update, and now you&#8217;ll be Happy BING users..
