Please follow all of the instructions below:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Please go to the following folder locations:BE SURE TO REMOVE THE FILES FROM BOTH LOCATIONS\n<p>Macintosh HD&gt; Library&gt; Preferences<br \/>\nMacintosh HD&gt; Users&gt; your username&gt; Library&gt; Preferences:<\/p>\n<p>trash the following files:<\/p>\n<p>* com.roxio.Toast.plist<br \/>\n* Roxio Toast Prefs<br \/>\n* com.roxio.CDSpinDoctor6.plist<br \/>\n* com.tivo.desktop.plist<br \/>\n* com.roxio.mac2tivo.plist<br \/>\n* and any other com.roxio.* \u00c2\u00a0 files located at either of these locations.<\/p>\n<p>BEFORE MOVING ON, please confirm that you have removed all the listed files from BOTH the above locations.<\/li>\n<li>You will also need to remove the Application Support. Please perform the following:Macintosh HD&gt; Users&gt; your username&gt; Library&gt; Application Support&gt; Now trash the following folders:\n<p>* CDSpinDoctor<br \/>\n* Mac2Tivo<br \/>\n* Roxio<\/li>\n<li>Trash the Toast Titanium folder(and all other Toast folders) from the applications folder and trash the Dock icon for Toast. \u00c2\u00a0Now click Finder(in the menubar at the top of the screen) Then Secure Empty Trash.<\/li>\n<li>Once that is complete, run Disk Utility (located in Applications&gt; Utilities folder) and Repair Disk Permissions on your main hard drive.<\/li>\n<li>Restart the computer and Reinstall using the Toast Titanium Disc or download file.<\/li>\n<li>If there is an update available for your version, you may install just the update alone from the following link:http:\/\/www.roxio.com\/enu\/support\/toast\/software_updates.html<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Now here&#8217;s my information, to just uninstall CDSpin Doctor&#8230;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Perform Step 1, but just remove\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0com.roxio.CDSpinDoctor6.plist \u00c2\u00a0 from the preferences folder(s).<\/li>\n<li>Perform Step 2, but just remove the CDSpinDoctor folder from the Application Support folder<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.schollnick.net\/wordpress\/2009\/12\/cdsdaudiocapturesupport-kext-file-was-installed-improperly-and-cannot-be-used\/\">Check for <\/a><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 20px; color: #333333;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.schollnick.net\/wordpress\/2009\/12\/cdsdaudiocapturesupport-kext-file-was-installed-improperly-and-cannot-be-used\/\">CDSDAudioCaptureSupport.kext in \/Library\/Extensions. \u00c2\u00a0If it exists, then drag it to the Trash.<\/a><\/span><\/li>\n<li>Secure Erase is *NOT* needed from Step 3, but do empty the trash.<\/li>\n<li>For Step 4, repairing Disk Permissions shouldn&#8217;t be needed, but it would not cause any harm&#8230;<\/li>\n<li>This should be all that is necessary to uninstall CD Spin Doctor&#8230;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This article discusses uninstall CD Spin Doctor, which is a very manual process, but these other articles discuss:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.schollnick.net\/wordpress\/2010\/05\/how-to-remove-cd-spin-doctor-andor-perform-a-clean-install-of-toast\/\">CD Spin Doctor<\/a> \u00e2\u20ac\u201c Follow the hyperlink for Instructions<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.schollnick.net\/wordpress\/2010\/05\/how-to-remove-cd-spin-doctor-andor-perform-a-clean-install-of-toast\/\">Toast<\/a> \u00e2\u20ac\u201c Follow the hyperlink for Instructions<\/li>\n<li>How to\u00c2\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.schollnick.net\/wordpress\/macintosh-related\/uninstall-software-package-mosx\/\">uninstall most software on the Macintosh<\/a> (Software Bundles, Preference Panes, etc)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This information is from Roxio: To perform a clean install of Toast.
