The fact that is allows\u00c2\u00a0HTML but can only manipulate a subset\u00c2\u00a0of HTML is a bit frustrating.<\/p>\n<p>Is there any way to edit Evernote\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0snippets outside of Evernote?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>My first read thru suggests this:<\/p>\n<p>Copy and Paste the Evernote text into\u00c2\u00a0TextEdit, or another editor of your\u00c2\u00a0choice. \u00c2\u00a0Clean it up, modify it to\u00c2\u00a0your pleasure&#8230; \u00c2\u00a0Then Copy &amp; Paste it\u00c2\u00a0back into Evernote.<\/p>\n<p>But I maybe misunderstanding your question&#8230; \u00c2\u00a0Do you mean to edit the Evernote data without using Evernote? \u00c2\u00a0The data is stored in ~\\Library\\Application Support\\Evernote<\/p>\n<p>The Evernote.sql file is presumably the SQL database that stores the tags, sync information, etc&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>The Content folder is broken up into individual folders, in my case, marked PXX where XX is a number&#8230; \u00c2\u00a0Inside each folder is an filename.ENML, filename.html, &amp; thumbnail files.<\/p>\n<p>The ENML appears to be an XML file with the contents of the note. \u00c2\u00a0The content.html appears to be a straight HTML file of the content, and the thumbnail files are thumbnail views&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>I modified the XML file, and the evernote client did not see the changes&#8230; \u00c2\u00a0So I presume you can modify the data, but without reverse engineering the database, you can&#8217;t force the client to sync the changed data&#8230;.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Evernote is fine, but its text editor\u00c2\u00a0is strange and not good for storing\u00c2\u00a0code snippets.
