R.U.R. (Rossum’s Universal Robots)<\/strong><\/em> is a\u00c2\u00a0science fiction<\/a> play in the\u00c2\u00a0Czech language<\/a> by\u00c2\u00a0Karel \u00c4\u0152apek<\/a>, and an upcoming feature film\u00c2\u00a0of the same name<\/a> from director\u00c2\u00a0James Kerwin<\/a>. It premiered in\u00c2\u00a01921<\/a> and is famous for having introduced and popularized the term\u00c2\u00a0robot<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n
The play begins in a factory that makes ‘artificial people’ \u00e2\u20ac\u201d they are called\u00c2\u00a0Robots<\/a>, but are closer to the modern idea of\u00c2\u00a0androids<\/a> or even\u00c2\u00a0clones<\/a>, creatures who can be mistaken for humans. They can plainly think for themselves. Although they seem happy to work for humans, that changes and leads to the end of the human race due to a hostile robot\u00c2\u00a0rebellion<\/a>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
What does this mean for the Dollhouse? Maybe nothing… \u00c2\u00a0But there has been spoilers, and hints, that the Actives will be revolting.. \u00c2\u00a0And we have the faction inside the Dollhouse that supposedly tampered with the programming… \u00c2\u00a0Assuming that was not a trick, of course…<\/p>\n
Either way, we’ll find out… \u00c2\u00a0And here’s hoping to a good continuation of the series…. And now that I have finished watching Echoes.. \u00c2\u00a0I have to admit that Joss still has his touch. \u00c2\u00a0I suspect he like’s his flash back’s too much for Fox’s taste… \u00c2\u00a0But he’s slowing introducing the reality behind the doll house for all to see.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
